Coursework
Education specialist candidates complete special education coursework to meet the needs of special education students in the areas of assessment, including assessment for eligibility for special education services, behavior management, special education law and case management, writing IEPs, and methods for teaching special education students who are served under your credential area. Additionally, you will complete coursework that will allow you to teach the general education curriculum and work collaboratively or co-teach with general education teachers.
